Think of your box as a small guest in your home:

• Chocolates & confections prefer a cool, dry place (65–70°F). Avoid direct sunlight or warm cars — they do melt when overly adored.
• Infusers, dried fruits, and nuts should be kept sealed until ready to enjoy. Once opened, we recommend savoring within two weeks for peak freshness.
• If refrigeration is ever necessary (rare, but in very warm climates), allow items to come back to room temperature before indulging — flavor sings best that way.

Every Mercantile box travels with care, never rushed, never forgotten. Here’s how the journey unfolds:

• Timing: Most orders leave our Pembroke shop within 2–3 business days. During the holidays, early ordering ensures your gift arrives right on time.
• Carriers: Each box travels safely by UPS, with a tracking link sent the moment it departs.
• Warm weather: In summer months or warm destinations, we tuck in insulation and cool packs so chocolates stay as serene as a summer evening.
• Weekends: We avoid weekend travel (because no gift of ours should spend a weekend in a warehouse) — except in December, when the elves work overtime to make the magic happen.
• International orders: For now, our gifting magic travels only within the U.S. The elves are still perfecting their world-travel plans — think of it as waiting for a passport to be stamped.
