Common questions
How does fundraising with Mrs. Mekler's Mercantile work?
Mrs. Mekler’s Mercantile offers a Frozen Ready-to-Bake Pie and Maggie’s Famous Chocolate Cake fundraising program. Participants sell gourmet take-and-bake pies (and the cake) to raise money for their organization. Profits are tiered based on the number of items sold:
0–250 items: $5 profit per pie (20%), $4 profit per cake (22%)
15–499 items: $6 profit per pie (24%), $5 profit per cake (27.78%)
500+ items: $7 profit per pie (28%)
The program includes partial case ordering, personalized delivery, and free customized flyers with no up-front costs or contracts.
What area does The Cake & Pie Fundraising Program serve?
Most of New England is eligible for our fundraising program. If your group is farther away, we can still make it happen—with a bit of delivery magic and a possible delivery fee.
You’ll select your selling period (with our approval), take the orders, collect the funds, and then submit the grand total for each item to us. Your pies will be delivered to you, and your team will sort the orders for your customers. A 60% deposit is due when the order is placed. Late add-ons may or may not be accepted at our discretion.
Are there additional fees?
There is no cost to start—no up-front fees, costs, or contracts. Your group simply earns profit on each item sold, based on the tiered pricing above.
